5684 sayılı Sigortacılık Kanunu’nun 30. maddesi çerçevesinde oluşturulan Sigorta Tahkim Komisyonu, sigorta ettiren veya sigortadan menfaat sağlayan kişiler ile sigorta tahkim sistemine üye sigorta kuruluşları arasında çıkan uyuşmazlıkların, bu alanda uzmanlaşmış hakemler tarafından basit, hızlı ve adil bir biçimde çözülmesi amacını gütmektedir. Ancak Sigorta Tahkiminin, normal mahkemelere nazaran bir çok faydası olmakla birlikte, kendine özgü bazı sorunları da bulunmaktadır. Bu nedenle bu çalış-mada, Sigorta Tahkiminin faydaları ve genel özellikleri izah edildikten sonra, Sigorta Tahkiminden beklenen faydanın en üst düzeye çıkması için bu konuda yaşanan mevcut sorunları tespit edip, bu sorunların ortadan kaldırılması veya en aza indirilmesi için çözüm önerileri sunulacaktır.

Özet (Yabancı Dil)
The purpose of the Insurance Arbitration Committee which has been created by s. 30 of the Insurance Act No. 5684 is to settle the disputes arising from insurance contracts between the policy holders or people benefiting from the insurance contract on the one side and the party undertaking the risk on the other side. Although the Insurance Arbitration has lots of advantage in comparison to ordinary courts, it has its own problems, as well. For this reason, after explaining the benefits and general nature of the Insurance Arbitration, in order to peak the expected benefits, current problems will be determined and proposals for the eliminations of the problems be made.
