Urban heavy or light duty vehicles are capable of producing significant quantities of emissions including particulate matter (PM), sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxide (NOx). It is also necessary to minimize these emissions because of the population living and working in urban areas is exposed to high levels of harmful emissions. Low emission zone (LEZ) is the area where vehicles that don't meet minimum standards for vehicle emissions are restricted and where vehicles outside these limits are subject to major penalties if they enter the area. In this study, we will conduct general information about emissions and air pollutants generated by road transport vehicles, Examine examples of successful applications in the world and will offer suggestions. |
